Thrilling Read
A Necessary Act hooked me from the beginning. The decisions the main characters faced really put me in the story and made me think about what I would do. But the highlight was Scott, the "bad guy". He was as creepy as you can get without being cartoonish. Definitely a character that will stick with you.
It's hard to talk too much about the plot without spoiling it, but I'll say the story had plenty of twists and turns to keep me turning pages the whole way. Once you start, it's a book you'll have a hard time putting down.
Great Book and Amazing Debut
Amazing debut from Mr. Wirt! I got this book as a gift from a coworker and finished it the next day! Just when you think that you know how this book will end, think again. Wirt takes an interesting view and sets the scene with two friends in high school who see the beginnings of a serial killer in the actions of a fellow student. The question then becomes would you or could you stop a serial killer before he starts. Then flash forward to adulthood, where one friend never left their hometown and the other is coming back, but both of them must face the tragedy that has shaken their community together. Wirt's book will have you racing to the finish just to find out how it ends, and Wirt's twists don't disappoint. I can't wait for his next book! If you liked Gillian Flynn, check out Tony Wirt.
