James Williard uses his position as the honcho of a medical dispensary in Vietnam as a base, while he and his crazy medics turn the war zone into a party zone. Back to Veitnam again
It was a very good book it brought back some memories of the times that i was there and of the places also. Although I didn't have the fun that the character and his brothers had. I did spend a week with my Uncle when he came through on his way home. I left a two weeks later for home. I thought that it was good for someone to take their experience's and make them into a very funny and interesting book. I liked it very much.
Vietnam in all It's glory
The Willard brothers should have been put in charge of the war. They would have done better than the knuckleheads who were in charge. They were at least having fun.
Hold onto your hat!
If you served in Viet Nam you'll recognize the places, people and probably most of the events in this novel. It brings back memories in a way that lets us ease through with a big dose of laughter. Bain puts a lot of himself into his writing, and obviously he was there. A special treat for vets but recommended for anybody who likes good writing, strong images and a wild ride.
