A.C. Autry hits a second home run with RISE OF THE SEER
I enjoyed this book even more than the first book in her trilogy. This novel had much more action and suspense and, happily, the love between Catryn and Nathan blossoms beautifully. However, they, their family and friends become increasingly endangered as Catryn fully becomes one of the supernatural group that Nathan and his family have long been members of. However, Catryn still has human aspects that put her in peril, yet give her unexpected powers also. Fans of C.S. Lewis' writings will learn about one of the supernatural characters who continually reads one of the author's trilogy books, PERELANDRA, making me hope that these beings are more than supernatural. I think they might be angels in a post-Christian dystopian world fighting evil with good. The book explains what these various supernaturals are, such as Judges, Healers, Seers and more. I can't wait for the third one to come out to find out what happens to all these amazing, lovable, admirable characters.

You can tell Autry has been honing her craft. I stayed up late into the wee hours of the morning devouring this second book in the series. Very much looking forward to book 3!!!
