Maybe someone feels this way, after a noteworthy time, when he overcomes the barriers and is guided to self-actualization. Perhaps, however, that emptiness inside should never be filled with anything and without reason. Maybe there should always be emptiness inside us that moves us to fulfillment and forces us to have conversations.

Nothing by Jenny Gkotsi (Book Review #236)
Nothing is a poetic, philosophical self-help style of a book written with the intention to provide an insightful view on life and living. The entire book is in one chapter and the characters are titled as “A” & “Z.” The characters back and forth between each other with a sequence of questions and answers. The subject matter covers topics like the afterlife, existence, happiness, God, restoration, and much more.
I found the literature to be very strong. The book could have benefited from being sectioned off and laid out in a friendlier way, however, that did not take anything away from the rich content embedded inside.
The book is short and begins with a steady pace throughout the whole piece. There is no certain world setting or backstory required and so the content just flows with the questions and answers provided by “A” & “Z”.
I believe this book is suitable for the minds that wish to read something different and out of the ordinary style of its genre. I recommend it to readers that have an open mind.

"Nothing" is a literary work different from what a reader can read. At first glance, the black cover and the title of the book are surprising you, causing a big question mark. What is this "Nothing" worth mentioning?
Without verbosity and writer's verbiage, the reader initially incomprehensibly follows a dialogue between two symbol letters, A confabulates with the Z. The content of the discussion is life itself; happiness, love, pain, betrayal and friendship. Concepts that are so important but they fade into our daily life with others. Perhaps this alienation of man was the driving force for the author to impart us a bit of the distillation of her own wisdom.
The reader’s initial inhibition towards the cynical and aggressive A is tempered and abated as the debate evolves. Slowly he comprehends that A is a wounded being trying only to heal its wounds with a single goal, overcoming obstacles in the quest for truth, identity, and bliss. The enemy who is trying to exterminate is ignorance, void, unnecessary sentiment.
On the other hand, Z obviously is more earthly, more frightened, seeks to learn everything or nothing. It seeks to feel everything or nothing. It desires everything or nothing.
The author gives us all lessons of constructive and fruitful dialogue. In a diffuse climate of insecurity, personal disability and inferiority the dialogue has been degenerated because the "ego" is so cynical and atrophic that it seeks voluntarily its status. We forgot that dialogue means sharing, interest and understanding. The catalytic function of dialogue as a narrative way activates our most inmost thoughts, making us, if not wiser, certainly more realists.
In conclusion, I owe many thanks to the author as because of her exceptional literary work, I cast off a bit of that amount of "stardust", with which we people sprinkle our lives, thinking that we will cover the ugliness of those who surround us. And this is "something" against "Nothing" ...

" Nothing was a challenging book that reminded me of one of my favorite foreign movies: “The Seventh Seal”, Det Sjunde Inseglet in Swedish. In the movie a man seeks answers about life & death and ponders upon the existence of God while playing chess against the Grim Reaper. “Nothing” a conversation from A to Z, is both intellectual and profound. The theme is challenging for the reader and also highly rewarding because it awakens curiosity and answers to complicated and deep questions... The whole debate regards the transcending of the soul including the complexities of the human mind, spirit, and soul included. "Nothing" is a book that makes the intellectual ponder over questions like, the nature of faith, God and its meaning, mortality, transcendence and even love. I must confess that I enjoyed it very much and it helped me understand certain things and even discover new ones within my own consciousness."
