Can jealousy and hatred be passed down through generations? Merrin is hoping that it all ended with her father, but something tells her it hasn't.
After the death of her father, whom she hadn’t seen in over 30 years, Merrin Hamilton is drawn back to the town of Salem, Oregon to settle his affairs. She is drawn by the mystery of stolen antiquities, an imposter posing as her father’s nurse, but mostly by the voice of a woman. The softest, most sensual voice she had ever heard.
What she finds is a legacy of death and insanity.
Can her newfound feelings for a beautiful antiques dealer survive the Hamilton family curse?

“This isn’t working for you is it?” Shana asked softly quite a while later. She was still sitting on the floor leaning back against the front of the sofa. Smoke from her cigarette drifted up toward the ceiling. Merrin had retrieved her coffee mug and grimaced at the cold liquid.
“What do you mean?” But she knew. She’d known for a while now.
“Us, it isn’t working for you.” Shana’s voice was matter of fact, as if she were commenting on the weather. “Whatever you need, I don’t have.”
“Honestly?” Merrin leaned against the arm of the sofa and stared into her cold coffee. “No, not really. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, lover. We’ve had some great fun together.” Shanna stretched like a cat and gazed up at her with wisdom she seldom let show. “Maybe you’re looking in the wrong places.”
“How do I know where to look when I don’t even know what I’m looking for?” It was as close to saying she was unhappy with her life as Merrin would get. She dressed and packed the few belongings she had at Shana’s into a duffle bag and tossed it into the trunk of her car. She felt surprisingly little regret about the relationship ending. Just the same as at the ending of every relationship she’d had since college. When the nightmare returned Merrin knew it was time to move on.
A young technician mourns his lover until he meets another man - a man with a secret. But there are other secrets as a jealous ghost returns to protect his turf.
Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
