He was mentally prepared to see the captain’s face distended, curiously, in surprise. But he was ill prepared for the fountain of blood that sprayed onto his eyes, his nose and his lips. It was Majapahit blood that he spat out of his lips with great vengeance, Majapahit blood that was shed, to appease the royal spirit of the Srivijaya Empire. He turned his eyes to his maternal grand-uncle.
Ananggavarman, the Majapahit Governor, flinched from the angry spirit that possessed his grand-nephew. He was short and stout.
