While I think we are actually more respectful of differences today than we were the past, incidents like 9/11 have created, in some of us, fear that makes long-held prejudice and ignorance reappear in our behavior.
I hope your book helps alleviate some of the unnatural fear floating in the air because of misinformation so many are getting. It's hard for me to tell from your short description, but I believe that is your purpose--to dispel this unnatural fear and ignorance about other people and give them the respect they deserve as fellow humans.
