This book was a welcome surprise. In the beginning, did not know where it was leading me but it became apparent that Grace was a woman of strong convictions and beliefs that were far from the picture the community was painting her. From the beginning, no matter the event, readers will cheer for Grace.
To say that her life was difficult would be an understatement but she survives and on her terms.
The total of the story is of good and evil and the continued strength of one woman against all odds.
Take the time to read this publication, you will be glad you did.
Every word and every image in this tale are woven together in language that is at once charming, authentic, sad, and revealing. It show us how easily superstition often trumps facts, and how damaging hand-me-down beliefs can be among entire communities where ignorance is a way of life.
