These are the questions Bob Robertson must resolve in my Novel, Soul of Damnation. At the moment he professes on protecting his mother, but he wonders who’s protecting who. A summoning from the ocean consumes his attention and seems to support the actions of his mother protecting him. But within time a series of events makes Bob wonder if his mother is as truthful as she seemed. Bob Robertson digs for the truth and unearths secrets woven deeply within his past. Secrets that he’s been wanting to know and needing to hear, but he may be digging graves of those around him.
Fifteen year old Bob Robertson wants to grow old and live in a place that’s stable, instead of his mother moving from city to city. When he gets the chance by being summoned to a new, unknown world to end whatever it was his mother fled to protect him. He takes it willingly, even if it means leaving his mother, June, behind.
In the city Fairfax, only a fort stood surrounded by forest. Bob lives, for the first time, without fear. He meets new people and finally gets to befriend, and interact with others without feeling or living in danger.
Then Bob learns that what his mother protected him from, was here trying to get him to partner with them, or live in torment.
