One fate, two lives, and three days. Ash Dean will do whatever it takes to to heal Skye's broken past and steal her heart. He's a rockstar struggling to be seen in the crowd, and she's everything he's ever wanted.
A Rock Romance unlike any other!
Skye Summers endured a tragic past. She wants what the past stole, and despite lingering scars, she’s surviving and thriving. Now she cures the sick, heals the wounded, and takes care of those clinging to life. The only person she can’t heal is herself, because Skye is too broken for love.
Ash Dean has it all: Fame, fortune, and the adoration of screaming fans. The constant parties, drugs, alcohol, and an endless string of one-night stands are taking their toll. He gives and his fans take, until he’s lost within the crowd. He wants someone to see him for the man he wishes to be rather than the one he’s become.
One fate…
Two lives…
Three Days…
No sex.
That’s the proposition…
It would be insane to accept and Skye’s a fool to agree, but she’s tired of playing it safe.
It’s time to take a leap of faith, besides what could go wrong?
Excerpt
He sat with an ankle kicked over a knee, hands clasped, head bowed and rocking to his own beat. He wore black jeans, well-worn hiking boots, and another faded t-shirt stretched tightly over his chest. A black leather jacket draped over the arm of the chair. With the hat and glasses, only his lips and jawline were visible. It was a shame, because he had the most handsome face. In fact, the glasses covered much of his cheekbones, and Skye couldn’t make out the cut under his eye. Had he taken care of it like he’d said he would? It would scar otherwise, and it would be a shame to mar such perfect features. She swallowed away her nervousness, remembering how he’d held her, the way his lips felt against her skin, the way her insides melted, and how her body responded to him like it never had with Spencer.
He stood, crowding her space, and she remembered that first kiss. She felt it. Every breath, lick and caress of it awakened her senses. She remembered him pressing her against the wall. ‘If we were alone, and anywhere but where you worked, I’d have you stripped…I’d be buried deep inside…until you couldn’t think.’ His bold words should have had her running for the hills. Such blatant sexuality from a man typically had her crawling inside her shell and dissembling as past memories overtook conscious thought. The heat of his words, however, washed over her, and for the first time, she didn’t freeze from a man’s touch. Wanting more of that, she ran her fingers over the fabric of his shirt and thought about all the reasons to say no, and found none.
“Ash, I’m sorry, but I can’t.” That was a lie. And didn’t she deserve a chance after Spencer's betrayal to find out if Ash might be right?
His hand curled around hers. “Let me un-complicate your life.” His expression held firm, a fierce conviction expressed with the force of his words. The urgency of his gaze was too much, forcing her to look away.
“You don’t understand.”
“Look at me.” He bent down until his eyes were level with hers. Golden flecks in a sea of green stared at her with confidence and need. “Give me a chance.” He straightened and flashed a cocky grin. “After three nights with me, you won’t even remember his name.”
