Max and Tucker were excited.
It was the weekend and they were going to the woods. Early spring had
brought beautiful weather and the early morning ride in the Big Red Truck
promised an out-of-the-ordinary adventure.
On a normal weekend morning, Max and Tucker would jump into the back of
the Big Red Truck for the short ride to the river in the woods. They love to
chase deer, each other, and sometimes a fox.
Max, especially, loves to swim.

Heartwarming Children's Book with Powerful Social
This charming children's book involves the true story of two abandoned puppies, Lily and Lucy, and the great lengths one family goes to rescue them. There are a lot of comical moments of just dogs being dogs, and plenty of twists and turns. As one with rescued animals at home, the social message of this book about the huge number of abandoned animals out there needing homes resonates strongly. Well-illustrated and heartwarming, I highly recommend this book.
