Excerpt
The foundations of Capitalism start with Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations in the 1700's. We move forward through The Industrial Revolution and The Great Depression and see Labor and Communism.
Your very short book about the "efficiency" of capitalism is impossible to evaluate without reading more. However, your credentials as an "expert" on capitalism are not evident from your bio. I taught MBA students and have studied philosophy, so have some idea of where your ideas come from.
You do write that you are providing a history of the "foundations" of capitalism, but you show no record of scholarship in history. For someone to write today on this subject, it would require extensive research to prove conclusions.
Because you use words like "talk" and "see" I suspect that you are an amateur writer writing about a very difficult subject. Ronald Reagan was a populist president, an actor, politically active in the Screen Actors Guild (a union) and representative for a company, General Electric (Progress Is Our Most Important Product--a slogan that they dropped). Reagan has little to do with capitalism.
I hope you have read some of Karl Marx as well as Adam Smith. Marx, probably more than anyone else, clearly defined the limits of capitalism. Today the United States is faced with a rapid movement of capital to the top 1%. They have obtained the status of royalty because Americans, somehow, equate monetary gain with success. Psychologists would probably disagree.
I suspect, without reading it, that your book is merely a conservative political essay that you probably could have posted here for other authors' review in parts.
