Thomas Haftmann, Northern Ohio private eye, is not looking forward to yet another brutal ohio winter, so when a distraught father asks him to find his daughter, he accepts. He's looking forward to a little time in the sunshine state on a case that doesn't appear to be too difficult. However, he's not there long enough to get a sunburn before he's beaten up, threatened, and hounded by two large goons working for a secretive Florida millionaire who has the girl and doesn't intend to let her go.
