From his book lined office at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, to Berlin and to Mont St. Michel in France, and through the dusty WW II archives of the German army, the quest takes him on a rollercoaster journey of personal discovery and emotion. The search uncovers events and materials that no-one had ever heard of before, or seen, since the days of the German occupation of France.

My Review, of the book " Kaplan's Quest".
I found The book, "Kaplan's Quest", a very good book. I noted the question asked is there Violence? In any book referring to the Holocaust, there is going to be some. I stayed with the book reading as was hooked you might say with Mr. Steinitz's writing style. Being an avid reader, especially with anything with history, I usually read 3 books at the same time as alternate them. This one stayed with all the way as was curious how all ended up, which was a surprise. I will sure recommend to others very highly. Lastly taking a trip to Israel in June, my first, so some of the places described in the book, perhaps describes what it may be like. Look forward to other books by Mr. Steinitz.

This story is a real page turner. I couldn;t put it down. It's not too long being interested in Jewish Geneology and the holocaust, it kept me
interested throughout the whole book. However, if you are not interested in the above, it was just an exciting book to read.
