An account of adventures in Scandinavia that involved flying dragons, Russian and German submarines, old WW2 era battlefields, Finnish foxes (female kind), Finnish-Mexican cuisine and much more. Written for the most part with a light touch, it ends on a semi-serious note about submarine warfare during the 'Cold War'.

An unconventional travelogue about many strange and unusual subjects, such as taking a ride on a Finnish dragon, avoiding moose-hits in the Finnish out-back, lecturing young Tom Cruise type fighter jocks, exploring old Russian and Finnish (German precursor) submarines, ogling Finnish girls, gas masks, taking saunas, and other NOT-stodgy esoterica.

To follow are two further light-hearted 'larks' that are still in manuscript form at this time ('Wahoo Backdoor', an account of adventures in Saudi Arabia, and 'Marooned on Moloka'i', an unusual accounting of time spent on that most intriguing and 'old timey' hawaiian island that ferociously guards its 'anti-development' heritage with the dedication of a Koa Kahiko (old warrior).

Published in hardcover and comprising about 130 pages, the book makes no pretense of being Nobel Prize worthy. It is intended, after all, merely as a chronicle of time spent on earth, ostensibly living the life of a transcient and erstwhile 'higher sentient life form' on its way to that Ultimate End of All Physical Experience (death).

Excerpt
"X introduced me in Finnish, explaining that although I was not a rated pilot, I had served in SAC during the Vietnam War and had occasionally flown as 'unassigned aircrew' in B-52 bombers ('BUFFS', or 'Big Ugly Fat Fu*kers', as we fondly knew them).

That caught the interest of the audience, since Finland's young pilots have never had the opportunity to experience a real shooting war--every pilot's dream of fame and the 'Right Stuff' glory. Then, after finishing up in his native language, X turned to me and said (in English): "...and I hope you will remember that all-important Rule Number One!"

Picking up my cue, I faced the gathered listeners and remarked, "Yes, X,it would never do to forget that all-important Rule Number One!" I hoped this would leave at least a few of the bored young fighter jocks curious as I began my speech..."
