Great Book on Personal Experiences on a Much Hushed Topic
A great book of personal experiences on a much hushed, heart wrenching issue couples face every day. It's a gift for a friend who shared her quest for a baby of her own with me. These couples have walked through that valley and come out the other side willing to share the pain and struggles they endured in order to encourage others. A great read for even those who haven't experienced infertility. I highly recommend it for all.
Informative, Emotional Journey
I have never dealt with infertility personally, but reading these stories and devotionals from ladies who HAVE been on the journey gave me a great deal of insight into their situations.
Each of the ladies lead you through their personal journey, being totally honest about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each of them has had a uniquely personal journey, so it's not as though you are reading six accounts of the same thing. If you are going through infertility, or know someone who is, you can find the segments which apply to your/their situation and read those, or you can read the whole book to find out what others go through as well.
The most important aspect of this book for me is that it lets women know they are never alone, and that they are never "less" as a woman for coping with infertility.
A Beautiful, Encouraging Book about Infertility
This is an amazing devotional! A beautiful, encouraging book about dealing with infertility, I feel this is a wonderful resource for any woman going through the different stages of infertility. Several woman are featured in the book-each one tells their story. Section by section, different stages of the journey are talked about. Dealing with not having a baby immediately, dealing with tests and procedures, miscarriages, grief, beginning to talk about foster care and adoption, and sometimes, finally a pregnancy and having children. As each woman tells about a stage in her life, the book has an appropriate scripture to encourage. All through the book, there are thought-provoking questions for the reader dealing with what's going on in that stage. I really thought that was very useful. Great for groups of woman to talk about and for each woman privately to ponder or journal through. It was a heartfelt book telling each woman's journey through infertility, and I felt enriched to share in their lives. Definitely read this devotional! I highly recommend it. Thanks to the publisher for providing me with a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
