Biography of father Luigi Piccardini (and his time 1812-1893) of Congregazione dell'Oratorio di San Filippo Neri di Città di Castello. He was a great preacher, and a very religious and learned man. He promoted the building of the Sanctuary of Canoscio. He was considered as a sort of “wizard of rain”, and died very close to sanctity. The book is widely illustrated.
