A great action packed fantasy adventure
This is a very well-written and edited book, and it got me entirely intrigued to read the next one. It starts with a bang and keeps the pace going throughout; it definitely isn’t another cute fairytale! The characters are well-developed, engaging, and some are fun as well, and I cared what happened. The author mentions strong female leads, and she’s right. In an excellent way! The magic is unique – which is not easy in Fantasy today. I could go into far more detail, but I’d hate to spoil it for you. Suffice it to say that life as a High Priestess is not as glamorous or as safe as you might think.

Great adventure. Superb storytelling.
I couldn't put it down. There's plenty action in this fantasy adventure where the powers of good and evil battle for control of the empire. The high priestess has her work cut out for her. It's a good thing she has such a capable daughter. This captivating world will draw you in. You'll be a committing a few spells of your own before you are done.

A new-to-me author releases her first debut novella, and it's pretty damned good!
A fairly short read (120 pages), but it had me hooked all the way to the end. Enough to make me want to read the Book 1? Absolutely!
The characters were solid, the worldbuilding and magic system intriguing, and the story flowed very well.
