Whether you're anything from a devout atheist to a born-again Christian (or anything else), I'm sure there's something in this book you've never thought of before or looked at the same way that will at least give you new insight, and quite possibly change your life. You should be at least thought-provoked.
So, let's start with a level setting, a common starting line. I want to start with one thing we can all agree on, and explore from there.
Is there really a God over each one of us?
Well, if there is no God, then obviously not.
But if there really is one sovereign, almighty, God or Higher Power or Creator or Maker or Intelligent Designer or Entity or Spirit in the Sky or Man Upstairs or whatever you want to call it, then it's a factor in all of our lives whether we like it or not. There's just no in-between.
Whether there is a God or not doesn't depend on your individual choice or chosen belief; it depends only upon whether there really is a most-high God over all of us. If there is, then it's a factor in all of our lives. Agreed?
Regardless of your beliefs, I'm sure you can agree that your life on earth will end someday, right? There will be an end to your life on earth as you know it. I know we may not like to think of it, but it's a pretty commonly accepted fact of life. It's a pretty safe bet.
We're talking about your own personal and definite future here. The great equalizer. It's the common ground we all have as human beings.
Everything in our present realm of consciousness, including our own lives, is finite. Here on earth, everything has a beginning and an end. One day your life on earth as you know it will end. It's just a matter of when.
