Just like the blurb says, Forever and Ever is about a mother's constant love for her child. The book is a quick, one-sitting read, but it's full of that special bond between a mother and her daughter. Lakshmi touches her daughter's life in a number of ways from writing a series of letters to be given to Rupali on birthdays and important life events to appearing when needed. The story is a bit choppy at times and feels rushed here and there, but that doesn't diminish the emotional level. As a mother, it's impossible not to get caught up in the many ways this woman continues to solidify her bond with her daughter, even from beyond the grave. It's certainly a touching story as we follow Rupali from a young age into adulthood, seeing how she cherishes those letters from her mother, and how much influence they have over her decisions.
