"Intriguing turns, steadily unfolding dark secrets, surprises in isolated locales," says 5-star review. Imbued with nice touches, Aria's Bayou Child leaves Aria and the reader hopeful, and redeemed. Second 5-star review: "It is no surprise that Donan Berg's books have won award after award. . . . he creates tales that stick in the mind long after the book has been read, making it necessary to read each one over and over again in order to feel that shot of adrenaline he delivers so well."
No motherless child flourishes and no mother's journey embraces sanity until she breaks the chains of false accusations and hugs a beating heart.
In Aria Gleason's experience, the bayou exists, not as a magical place, but an obsession forced upon her, and she'd have it no other way until she finds her child.
Redemption requires she untangle the baby-snatching conspiracy web that entraps her into an ever haunting foray of ratcheting suspense.
Untold secrets and unrevealed motives spiral into a painful vortex Aria must endure to discover where her real self and life's meaning exists.

featheredquill.com Book Review
Quill says: Aria's Bayou Child lifts the term 'psychological thriller' to new heights. To walk inside this author's mind would be incredible. Since that can't happen, reading his books is a true treasure.
A Life-Affirming Journey of Redemption
In Donan Berg's rich and satisfying Aria's Bayou Child, Aria Gleason leaves prison emotionally scarred and embarks on an odyssey that leads her toward her lost child. On both legal and psychological levels, Aria's search must ultimately lead to the reexamination of her murder conviction for the death of her husband Brad. To revisit both Brad's death and her son's possible abduction, Berg takes Aria and the reader on one hell of a journey, bouncing back and forth to Chicago, with some key scenes in Iowa, but mainly returning to Louisiana. ...
Aria's Bayou Child is one of those novels that, with all of the daunting and darknesses Aria endures, leaves the reader in the end hopeful and, like Aria, redeemed. See Amazon.com for the complete review.
