5 STARS - If you thought book one was good this one will blow you out of the water, fantastic and so not where i thought it would go. this book grabs you and takes you one a fantastic journey to other realms, with some twists that i really didn't see coming. As in the last book it is well writen and the discriptions given whisk you away so that you are walking the path with the characters. Just amazing!

Action galore as author Scott Kimak pumps up the creative juices and takes his dystopian /martial arts / YA anime /Christian thriller up several notches in Book 2, as warriors reminiscent of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" enter Dante's Inferno and the circles of hell, and bring to bear their utmost and some against Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Beelzebub and the demons of the seven deadly sins - in a plot that could quite probably do for an excellent Shōnen Jump manga, I might add.

"I Call Him HIM, Book 2". It is once again post-apocalyptic Houston. Mankind is relegated back to the stone age by nuclear devastation. Demons and zombies take over and enslave emaciated humans. Starvation and cannibalism are the norm.
Only Shifu (师傅, Master) Seng Shan and his indomitable warriors hold a stand for humanity, even as young Angelica, the cherubic teen wields the power of faith and belief in the Almighty to "move mountains", and a resurrected enigmatic dark warrior brandishes his swordsmanship to do the impossible.
Then the demon masters make the rueful mistake of kidnapping the young Angelica.
And to rescue her, the warriors battle their way to the darkest orlops of hell...

I could not take my eyes off the pages! I devoured this book in one sitting. The action, mystery, and story pacing kept me turning page after page.
The development of the story from book one to book two is SO GOOD. Kimak is a new author to me (other than having read his first book in this trilogy) so I didn't know what to expect as far as execution of the second book. It was just as mesmerizing as the first book, if not more so!
Book 3's teaser at the end was cruel, I want more of this story right now!
I am not one to re-read books, but as soon as book 3 comes out I most definitely will be re-reading the entire Trilogy.
