Great start to teaching emotion regulation
This was a great introduction to emotion regulation coaching with my 2 year old. The calming strategies are simple and useful and not overwhelming. The examples are relatable and practical too. My son wanted us to read it over and over. A few minutes after reading it the first time he got upset and was stomping his feet while laying on the floor... then he paused and looked up at me with a smile and said “I took a deep breath”. He was ready to go back to playing after that. We talk about deep breaths and other strategies but reading books about it seems so powerful for kids and I definitely recommend adding this one to your home library!

Beautiful Story
