CHAPTER 1
The chill whoosh of air against her left ear awakened her abruptly, and then just as quickly, Kirarae Seira found herself dropping back into her great depth of sleep once more. Her brief return to consciousness and then out again was beginning to happen more frequently and with less and less time in between episodes.
As hard as she tried to open her eyes and see what surrounded her, she found that her eyes drew tighter shut. She could not open her eyes at all.
Thoun was constantly beside her. Kirarae knew he was there but, at the same time did not see or touch his physical presence. She felt his luminous pale gold energy pulsating near her own, which had become very dull and almost completely stagnant. Her once vibrant cobalt blue energetic circle of light which normally vibrated at a very high frequency was near to being extinguished of all life.
