Danielle enters a baking contest that the Rainbow Dream Trains are hosting to impress a small UN counsel that is coming to the Castle of Imagination. But things quickly go wrong, for a very dark reason.

The United Nations is coming to the Castle of Imagination. Ruby, one of the Rainbow Dream Trains, knows that they expect to be well catered during their visit.

She and Ginger, the Orange Dream Train, organize a big contest to determine who are the best bakers in the castle. Eager to have her own shining moment, Danielle signs up and finds herself facing several challenging recipes.

When mysterious disruptions happen during the contest, Danielle and her twin sister, Nina, suspect that the culprit is someone who has snuck into the Castle of Imagination.

The sisters, in the form of Eagle Warriors, follow this intruder back to their hometown, where they are shocked to hear racist words coming from the house this suspect enters.

Excerpt

So the girls spent the rest of the afternoon splashing around and making a new friend or two. But just before they went home something rather meaningful happened. As Danielle and Nina sat in a pair of lounge chairs wrapped in their towels a boy a few years younger than them walked up to them and said “Um, hi,” in a tentative voice.
“Hello,” said Danielle. “Are you looking for something?”
“No,” said the boy. “I just wanted to say that I think you both look very cute.”
The girls both covered their faces to hide their giggles, but the boy looked over his shoulder at two people who must be his parents with a worried expression on his face. “Is something wrong?” asked Nina.
“It’s just, I have an aunt that says I shouldn’t say things like that to people like you because . . . well . . .”
Danielle and Nina suddenly realised what he was about to say and they felt as if something deep inside them had been viciously ripped out. “Because we’re black?” they both asked together. The boy nodded. “Well, is she here?” asked Nina.
The boy shook his head. “Then what’s the problem with you telling us that here?” asked Nina.
“It’s just, I don’t know what my parents think about it,” said the boy. “And I don’t know what to tell them.”
“You mean they don’t know that your aunt has been telling you this?” asked Danielle. The boy nodded again. There was a long uncomfortable silence. Then Danielle said “Listen, this isn’t the first time we’ve encountered this. We have a good friend whose family was once involved with people who thought like that. But we don’t let that stop us from being her friend, and she didn’t even know until recently.
“Honey, if you’re worried about what your aunt’s been telling you just tell your mom and dad that you don’t agree with what she’s saying. I’m sure they’ll understand.”
“You think so?” the boy asked.
“Well, it’s just faith,” said Danielle.
The boy smiled and said “I know all about that. Alright, I’ll talk to them about it.” And as he said it, something blue shimmered into existence on his forehead.
“What’s your name?” asked Nina, trying to act like she hadn’t noticed so as not to worry her new friend.
“It’s Tim. Why do you ask?”
“Because I have a feeling we’ll be seeing each other in school this fall,” said Danielle. “I’m Danielle by the way. And this is my twin sister Nina.”
“Cute name,” said Tim. Then with a little wave, he walked back to his parents.
