Rebel King, Book One, Hammer of the Scots

Robert de Bruce, Earl of Carrick and Lord of Annandale, is handsome, wealthy, landed, and ranked as the second best knight in Christendom. Recently married to Elizabeth de Burgh, the lovely daughter of the "Red Earl of Ulster", Richard de Burgh, Robert places everything... family, titles, wealth, even his very soul... in jeopardy when he takes the crown of Scotland. With a small, tough army, he proceeds to drive the English troops and administrators out of Scotland, one town or castle at a time. Edward Plantagenet, known as "Longshanks" has stationed those warriors and ministers throughout Scotland, and is enraged that "The Bruce" has 'betrayed' him and meddled in what he considers "his" concern. Soon he sends armies north to put an end to Bruce, his family, and all his followers.

Rebel King, Book Three, Bannok Burn
 Paperback

The Army of Bruce has been successful in slowly driving the English out of Scotland, and few castles remain in English hands when Robert's brother lays siege to Castle Stirling. A fine courageous warrior, Edward is not one to relish idly awaiting a surrender. When the castle warden offers a solution to both their problems and Edward agrees, the greatest battle in Scots history is in the offing. Having fought eight years cleverly avoiding a head-on confrontation with England's mighty army, Robert is now forced to do just that. With an army over four times the size of the Army of Bruce, Edward II comes north to put an end to the Scots' rebellion, once and for all.

Rebel King, Book Two, The Har'ships
 Paperback

Many in his own land do not want Robert the Bruce to be their king. Knowing that he and his ragtag army are all that stand between his beloved Scotland and annihilation, and determined to preserve his kingdom’s independence and recover his distaff family from captivity, he must persuade his countrymen to come to his “peace” and repel the English invaders. They, having retired to their homes for the winter, are sure to come north again… but not until spring. Thus Robert has but those few harsh months to achieve unity among the Scots. At this critical time, he is suddenly felled by an unknown malady.

In addition to an 'event' map, /span>/span>span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">span style="font-size: larger;">the book contains approx. 42 character drawings by Charles Randolph Bruce, who also designed and illustrated the book jacket/cover. The epic story continues as the Army of Bruce, in the open, suffer through the worst winter of their lifetimes.br /> /span>/span> span style="font-size: larger;">span style="font-family: Times New Roma
