The man dressed in black slid his knees behind Dorothy Miller's legs and forced her down o the sofa. He knew the woman was drowning in terror. In his hand he held a heavy statue. He lifted the bronze figure and looked into the eyes of the pretty dark-haired woman. Swiftly and devoid of emotion he smashed her on the side of the head and watched the warm blood ooze against her cheek. |
