As a boy I always enjoyed listening to the grown-ups tell and swap stories. In my book Chit-Chat Stories Told Around teh Hearth I have included some from those days sitting around an old wood heater and the hearth in the living room, some which scared the wits out of me. Most of the stories aree may own and are favorite memories.

I have always love telling and listening to tales and stories and even spinning a few yarns of my own.
These are stories and tales I have heard and that have been told in and around the Green River area from where I live. These are favorites and have been told and retold but never grow old.m I included them in my book to share with the world and I hope you will find them interesting and enjoyable.

Genealogy is a fascinating study and when my interest was aroused recently I set about to research my own family roots. What I soon discovered were some interesting previously unknown facts. Maybe not everyone shares an interest in those who influenced our past but for many of us the knowldege is endearing. I wrote this as a labor of love to preserve the information I gathered to pass along to those who follow, my children and grandchildren.
