Allen Jacop Fox, known better as 'Keeper of the Waters' to many white men, as well as to many of the Indian tribes of New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.This is a story of his feelings, his beliefs, his family, and his friends. He was chosen to speak the words of peace to the white settlers, and to the many different Indian tribes on the breek of the French and Indian War.

I examine the life of my ancestor, Robert Flint, from his home in Flintshire, Wales to the Mohawk Valley, in upstate New York during the early 1700's. His life, and family during the French and Indian Wars, as well as the American Revoultion.

Joshua, Halfmoon, and I trekked through the mud toward the rise of the hill. When we got to the top we looked down. The narrow crossing we had to pass was completely under water.
"Damn it!" Joshua yelled. "I knew this would happen. It'll be at least another day before we can get across that river."
