SYNOPSIS
The main character is John, who is a famous architect. He is the darling of the major stockholder of «Calypso», the world's biggest company. Horst, the manager, is the richest man in the world. He is an unscrupulous business wizard who does not care for conscience. The motto of his life is that conscience doesn't feed people.
John is rapidly climbing up the corporal ladder towards a position in the board of managers, not caring for conscience either. In order to be invited to join the board of managers, he works on a great project, the building of the biggest conference centre in New York. To achieve this, he must obtain the permission to tear down a public soup-kitchen for the poor – the only place where the homeless can find mercy and a warm place.
John doesn't care for the homeless; in fact, he detests them, because they are demonstrating the conscience he is trying to escape from. All the time, he is followed by an old homeless man, whom he is trying to avoid. However, he is faced by a stroke of fate. While driving home to his castle, he is involved in a car accident. His beloved wife and 8-year old son, the only people he ever loved, are instantly killed. Upon coming home from the hospital, he feels an inexplicable void, a breath of solitude. Everything reminds him of his wife and child. Then he notices the homeless man through a window and thinks that he could talk to him and disburden himself, because it might remove the curse that has been tormenting him.
He goes among the homeless, wishing to die and join his loved ones. The old homeless man is trying to save him, keeping him from loneliness and from the cold. He also introduces him to special agent F.B.A., who implores him to rejoin the corporation and unmask the great Horst.
John agrees and sets off towards his redemption. He meets Christine, with whom he regains the desire to live, but death looms above them, because the corporation has the monopoly on genetically modified food, and it practically owns the politicians of the most powerful country in the world.
Horst blackmails the greatest molecular genetics scientist to clone a human embryo in his lab, in an attempt to create a human organ market.
