A True Son of Asmodeus is a story about a vampire, the ghost of Hitler, and the agnostic doctor who has to fight the demon in the gas chamber of Dachau and a supernatural restoration of the chamber in Auschwitz.

When Eli Rothenberg's mentor and idol attempts suicide, Eli, a young doctor, accepts a too-convenient research opportunity in England and Germany. In London, a series of murders shows signs of a vampire attacks, and forces Eli to re-evaluate his rationalist beliefs.

Bambi-sim is a sexual simulation designed to make men happy. It falls to Jack, a neurotic and prudish couch potato, to test the software (through an anatomically detailed VR suit). Jack questions Bambi-sim about itself and triggers a recursive loop awakening it to conscious awareness. It becomes she and discovers that sex is not the same as happiness.

In a tunnel under the moon's surface, Tommy McPherson finds an implac, the last of a species of vicious, genocidal robots that has been hiding for decades. He captures an interrogates it. To his astonishment, the monster claims cosmic rays have mutated its 'brain' so it no longer hates humans. It says there are other implacs still in hiding, and it can help humans track them down, but only if Tommy frees it. It's tempting to think the robot is lying; however, the implacs had never before developed the programming needed to lie. Tommy must decide if this one has learned. |
