Adolf Hitler in Oz is a comic fantasy satire affirming that goodness and love will always overcome evil and hate and that no matter how evil a man may be, he can be redeemed.

As Russian troops near the Chamcellory, Hitler fakes his own death. He has had a charlatan scientist make him a time machine in which to escape. A combination of forces sends the time machine to the Land of Oz. He lands in Oogaboo and meets Stan Laurel, whom he makes his Goebbels, and Oliver Hardy, whom he makes his Goering. Hitler poses as a champion of the meat people against nonmeat people like the Scarecrow and Tin Woodman. Palestine was occupied by the Romans, and the Jews didn't like it. Before Jesus was born, there had been a rebellion in a town near Nazareth. The rebels said they didn't need a king or an emperor; their goal was to set up a Kingdom of God. The Romans leveled the town and took everybody they didn't kill into slavery. The possibility of another rebellion was always present.

The oldest sources of the legend of Robin Hood are eight ballads (counting "The Gest of Robin Hood" as four) dating before 1450. One source of i>The Robin Hood Chronicles /i>is these ballads. In one of them a King Edward visits northern England and makes Robin a yeoman of his court. This can only be Edward II, who was in the north of England in 1323.br />
