A village's hero embarks on the once-in-a-generation quest to defeat the island's reincarnated overlord. It's a simple enough quest, until he meets a man in the castle that looks exactly like him.
A village bent by the tyranny of an evil Overlord rallies behind the single, strong-willed man who can save them from destruction. Ralic, the son of Ralic the 11th and chosen liberator of his people, is a guy who sees himself as perfect, but will find in the coming day that he still has much to learn. Armed with the Sword of Destiny, the only weapon powerful enough to destroy the evil Overlord, Ralic seeks out a dark castle tucked away in the furthest recesses of a forbidden forest.

A rouge mercenary comes across a drifting flagship. Upon recovering the artificial intelligence inside, it has one request: "Kill me."
Deep space, a soulless expanse of littered stars, ushers the cash-strapped mercenary Asegai to a chance, once-in-a-lifetime discovery; a derelict, drifting flagship, ripe for the taking. His AI finds, evaluates, and links with the craft, promising vast wealth upon the ship’s recovery. As always, Asegai is cautious but perhaps blinded by the immensity of his discovery.
He’ll soon find this to be a mistake.
