| | | Earning Purple A romantic paranormal analogy of a lithium lived life.
As an author, I am very much anchored in reality - by necessity as who knows where my head will go if succumbing to fantasy?
This story is an analogy which can be read as it appears on the page or can be read to comprehend the depths of highs, lows and inbetweens. | | | | If I Could Spin Collected Poems. Those which have survived the many years of an itinerant lifestyle.
Some written coming out of the depths of bipolar depression on the way to the staging post short of mania. Those inspired by whatever was happening in my life at that time - mostly in the sixties.
Later ones were written for fun or just for the hell of it.
Some written in response to other writers, my politics tutor, my psychiatrist (whoops - scrapped that sonnet.)
Mostly written in the hope that a line here or a line there will resonate with the reader and provide the feeling of wonder when I share the world through the eyes of another. | | | | Life Before Lithium From the comfort and safety of your chair, join the author as she dared to live her dreams travelling through the extremes of bipolarity. Witness the strategies she used to survive the consequences of putting one foot in front of the other while on a path she believes ordained by the Man Upstairs..
Warning: this book is -like Life - not divided into chapters. Like Life it is a continuum along which one can travel then find, whoops, what's happening here, then back to the baseline from which the loop escaped.
My intention in sharing this is to provide those around - family and friends - some idea, feeling of the experience. Obviously everyone's journey is different but the trajectories will be similar. A psychiatrist, having red the manuscript, stated it an accurate description of behaviour. Her only point of difference being that relating to ECT.
I can't say ENJOY this | | | | The Whens of Wittenoom Chronology of the use of Blue Asbestos from Roman times to Western Australia mid 1980's.
I have listed this under Reference following an early on-line sharing (prior Smashwords, Amazon, etc) and receipt of a request for permission to cite this work in a PhD. |
