It's hard for me to say this
while I'm sitting under weight
of my demons and their voices
all the inklings of my fate.
Just like holes inside a rainbow
bleeding out a fading spell
I can hear the distant chatter
of a pain I know too well.
It's hard for me to help you
from this place encased in glass
when panes of ice have numbed me
and today may be my last.
So I'm coming clean, revealing
in the hopes to lose my past
while keeping things appealing
but destroy the wicked cast.
I stop myself from mourning

Damn me for the pain I feel
judge me for my acts
knowing I've done nothing wrong
the aching still attacks,
somewhere, somehow
sorrow filtered
into all the cracks
solidified this soul that died;
a statue made of flax.
So Light the wick
and watch me burn
to smoke and soulful cries
then torch my bitter spirit
for it would no longer rise
and there, do stare
and do compare
your vision to my own
my heart was unconditional
but now it's made of foam.
