Mission impossible, WWII aviation history story. Four huge Luftwaffe flying boats fail in December 1941 attempt to seize the Panama Canal.
In mid December 1989 two American journalists arrive in Panama City just three days before President Bush ordered the invasion of Panama to nab Noriega. Over a three day period in a hideaway called the Kondor Club, they interview 4 old surviving flyers of a failed Luftwaffe mission, ordered by Goering, to attack and seize the Canal.
The Germans have been in Panama under Spanish aliases for 48 years, and approach the journalists with a request to write a book that at last reveals their story.
