This book contains twelve folk stories gathered from around the British Isles. I have tried to retell them in the same way the storytellers of old would have told them when they first created them.
Then they travelled from village to village and town to town holding their audiences spellbound with tales of magic and mystery; Good versus Evil, Giants and Monsters, witches and magicians, and of course some humour too.They used basic straightforward simple English that everyone can easily understand, no matter how skilled in the use of the English language. I have followed their example.
