My poetry does not focus on one topic, but is a collection of various themes such as related to history, nature, or patriotism. I try to write poetry everyone can read and understand. I avoid the use million dollar words and prefer to leave them to the most intellectual of poets; of whose work I seldom read or understand. If greatness lies in the ability to write poetry that cannot be enjoyed by all, I elect to pass, and will forever remain an insignificant, happy man.

Nature poetry written prior to the twentieth century always described nature as a place of beauty and contentment. Today the view of nature is entirely different. We live in a world where man destroys more than he builds, where it is more acceptable to throw down rather than pick up. Our once pristine world is quickly disappearing. I look for the beauty in nature and I am fortunate to live in a time when nature abounds with brilliance and rebounds with tenacity.
