From the darkness of outer space, a meteor whisked between the orbits of two moons circling Xunar-kun, a world that appeared largely brown and dead. Below the haze and scattered whorls of clouds in the atmosphere, short fingers of blue-white ice reached out from the polar caps, yielding to tall mountain peaks which appeared to hold them back. The world possessed scattered areas of blue water and forest, suggesting the possibility that it was able to bear life.

Released to the public on October 16, 2010, this unabridged 8 CD set contains 9.5 hours of sound. The audio book has already been awarded Gold in the 2010 Readers Favorite competition.
41 actors were cast to play the title roles and background reactions. Sound effects were added, many of them by myself, as well as original atmospheric and rock music by Warren Jeffrey Motter.
To get the project started, I applied for and received an Artist Crossroads grant from The ARTs Council of the Southern Finger Lakes through a redistribution grant through NYSCA (NY State Council on the | |  | | Snailsworth, a slow little story. One little she-snails discovers a big, wonderful world outside her patch of ivy.
The sun had settled behind the low hills. The birds, who had been merrily singing all day, were asleep in their birdhouses and treetop nests.
The crickets scritch-scritched secret (though very noisy) messages through the moonless dark.
