Lilith was the first person granted a soul by God and given the job of carrying Soul to all the still soulless inhabitants of the world, beginning with Adam, by means of her love. Adam was also given a job -- to create a set of rules to serve as the foundation for law and ethics to guide the moral evolution of humanity.
Unfortunately, Adam is weak, petty, and resents Lilith for being First. This expresses itself in many aspects of their relationship, but perhaps best in their sex life -- Adam insists on being "on top" to be "closer to God".
Lilith, of course, will have none of that, and after she is raped and beaten by Adam when she attempts to refuse him she embarks on an incredible journey across the world, gifting people with souls, judging the wicked, and healing the sick. At journey's end she learns the difference between knowledge and wisdom, distilled from a life well-spent.
The Book of Lilith is funny, sad, serious, and more than a bit deep.

Sam Foster was an ordinary guy with a beautiful wife, a nice house with its own fishing hole, a good job. Then things went awry as his favorite fishing spot turned out to be one of the many points where the fabric between Universes is thin enough that people can pass through.
At first he could shrug off the effect of the jumps -- haven't you, many times? But one day he came home to see his wife swinging from the rafters of their home obviously put there by his own hand and his world fell apart.
Hounded by the police, Sam builds an apparatus to make a desperate jump between worlds to a place where only the swords from his days as a champion fencer and his wits stand between him and a bloody death. On this new world, Sam battles dinosaurs and sharks large enough to swallow a boat whole while becoming embroiled in the political struggles between the gods of the Multiverse.
Note well: This book is a final draft in the process of being proofread prior to it being distributed with an ISBN. It is complete and fully readable, but may change in small ways before its final release.
If you buy now, do so aware that you may find erorrs in the tpying that are not yet corrected, a few places where sentences don't flow perfectly (although there should be very few as the book has been substantially worked over already) and that the title and cover art are still subject to change. On the other hand, this final draft edition could one day be a collector's item, and I doubt that any errors exist that are so obtrusive that they'd interfere with one's pleasure reading the book.
