Three students are intimidated to purchase marijuana from a superior at Annapolis. The FBI is called in to help set up stings. When found out, they suffer the wrath of the school and fellow students that bust them mercelessly. Romance comes into the picture with an under cover commander and a gorgeous lieutenant. It is he that creates all the humor in the story.
It comes from his being crazy about her and wants to marry her. Thinking he is navy she feels like she is on her way to jail.
He does not behave like a naval officer and she advises him he is not being navy. He thinks to himself maybe that's because I'm not in the navy.
One student accomplishes his upgraded responsibilities, out of the three and graduates in disgrace while his pals lose two years of college. This student goes into the marine corps and is in the entire trilogy.
He works a campaign for recruiting in the second novel and is well respected, with an expeditious promotions.

One Marines thinks he's a criminal.His killings give him such a high he has a hard time coming out of it.
