"Breathing Cup" is a chapbook of modern poetry that celebrates the joys and sorrows of youth and old age alike. The first two stanzas of the title poem exemplify the tone of the work: "A deep breath comes rolling through bushy leaves of Spring into my lungs, and tells me all is well. Spiraling is a booklet of poetry, paper bound, good print, and it is 27 pages long. It has an attractive, color bound front and a picture of the author, Donald Coonrod, M.D. in black and white, on the back of the cover. Also on the back cover is a note from the well known poet, Leah Maines, who notes that "Donald Coonrod's poetry will captivate you with his unique voice. This is a fine collection.
