Ofelia Fox, wife of the owner of the cabaret Tropicana of Havana was the first female personality of Spanish radio in Florida. The book has a colecction of her daily broadcasts interwoven with present day commentaries by Rosa Sanchez.
Ofelia Fox and Rosa Sanchez, partners for nearly 45 years shared their lives and creative projects, including radio, TV, short movie scripts and now a book. Cuba patria en lagrimas y el Mensaje de Liansu is a diary of the first wave of Cuban political refugees thru the daily radio commentaries broadcast live by Ofelia Fox (Liansu) thru WMIE, now known as La Cubanisima, from Miami, Florida. The book, 391 pages of emotionally charged prose includes 16 pages of pictures and a second edition of Ofelia's 1961 book Cuba patria en lagrimas.
