The first book, Sweet Annie, begins when Annie is five years old and tells of her childhood first in Tennessee and then Texas. The second book, Forever Annie, takes up the story at the turn of the twentieth century when Annie is a young woman of nineteen.. Her andventures continue when she marries Marvin Canafax and two large Irish families come together under the hot Texas sun.
