The Sweet Annie Series is based on the life of the authors grandmother, Annie Cowan. The first book, Sweet Annie, begins when Annie is five years old and tells of her childhood first in Tennessee and then Texas. She meets many interesting people along the way and experiences a vast difference in lifestyle.
The second book, Forever Annie, takes up the story at the turn of the twentieth century when Annie is a young woman of nineteen.. Her andventures continue when she marries Marvin Canafax and two large Irish families come together under the hot Texas sun.
