The allure was obvious and the appeal, strong. A cross-section of people from around the country set sail for one week in June for the adventure of a lifetime. This complex story of destiny interweaves the lives of passengers on a Bahamian sailing ship, making an unscheduled stop on the obscure island of Spanish Harbor.
What starts out as a disappointing but harmless tropical vacation takes a turn towards the macabre as destiny steps in and takes over. Their adventure begins to take on a life of its own as the passengers challenge predestination and the strength of the human spirit.
Barefootin' is an adventure through the murky waters of reality surrounding the small island, where genetic experimentation and Christianity, meets and blends with the still older religion of voodoo.
