Mail delivery can be fun.
Last week one day my delivery was a letter informing me that i>Fresh Breath/i>, the Poets' Society of Tennessee - NorthEast's newest anthology, will include three of my poems:
"The Couple on the Six o'clock News" (free verse)
"The Fallen" (a villanelle), and "Hugs and Hormones" (a rhyming poem)
It's exciting to be a contributor to this collection of poetry with outstanding poets from the South and Mid-South.

A collection of poems by The Poets' Roundtable of Arkansas and Friends 2018-2019
The greatness of an anthology, according to Dennis Patton, President of Poets' Roundtable of Arkansas, is that it serves as "...a barometer of a moment in time. It is a wisp, a scent, a sound, a word that resonates the theme of the day".
My two poems, "Nourishing You" and "Two Ways to Look at the Moon" appear in this anthology.
"Two Ways to Look at the Moon", a poem in two voices, male and female, won an award on PRA National Poetry Day, 2016.

The universal emotions and experiences of women contained in this anthology embrace a wide range of basic human relationships and reflect the environments in which women daily function.
My poem, "Home", is the nativity story as it relates to the current life of any modern-day young couple who are poor and homeless.
Letters members of one hundred branches of the National League of American Pen Women from across the USA, competed for the privilege of being published in this outstanding anthology.
The 103 adjudicated poems featured in this volume are accompanied by correlated line drawings from twelve Arts members also representing branches scattered across America.
