Seventeen-year-old Heather Caldwell strives to follow her dream of dancing a major role in a famous mountain outdoor drama even though she struggles with grief from the death of her boyfriend by an unknown assailant. Her dreams turn to panic when she discovers who the killer is and that she is his target. Before she has time to alert authorities, the killer makes his move and Heather runs for her life into the mountains where she pits her strength and wits against a skilled and formidable enemy.
The first time Heather Caldwell saw VIVA! EL PASO, an outdoor summer drama staged in a natural amphitheater among the Franklin Mountains, she knew she wanted to dance in it. Now at the age of seventeen, she is ready. Her boyfriend doesn’t like the idea and tries to dissuade her. His sudden death not only hurts and horrifies her, but makes her doubt herself.
