A woman on a book tour is trapped in a small Nebraska town with a sinister innkeeper. Her only way out is to follow a shepherd on a perilous journey.
Sheridan, an anthropologist forced off I 80 by a thick fog lands in the town of Hidden. Street, the only street in town, is five blocks long. Few residents reside in the town and none give her satisfactory answers to her questions. Why can't she find her way back out? Why can't she trust Catch the innkeeper?
She is told of Shepherd and imagines him to be somewhat of a star, mayor of the town. When he does show up, he is a simple shepherd. However, he is the only one who can lead her out of Hidden. The journey will take them through unimaginable terrain and occurances. / |
