According to Native American legend, the Great Spirit looked upon this land, we all live in and around with special favor. Reaching down to bless the soil, the Creator left the imprint of His hand, creating the Finger Lakes.
Geologiest tell the sory a bit differently: as the ice age ended, glaciers, covering what is now northern New Yorki recedev, In doing so, they gouged giant holes in what became the Finger Lakes region. These gouges formed not only our lakes, but also our spectacular gorges and waterfalls.

Book is a collection of poetry by the members of Just Poets, a Rochester area literary group. Thirty four poets, both amateurs and professionals have contributed to the anthology.
In French, le mot juste means "the perfect or best word." As poets each of us struggles to finad those best words to create that literary gentre, which Samuel Taylor Coleride definited as "poetry" -- "
the best words in their best order."
The literary group known as Just Poets was founded June 12, 2004 with a mission to celebrate poets and poetry by encouraging and supporting area poets at all levels of ability to improve their work and fine their individual poetic voices through workshops, publications, readings and networking.

The Silver Thimble is a chapbook of poetry about people--the mentally disabled, the poor, the old, the young, friends and family.
Divided into three parts, The Silver Thimble, shares poetry about the author's experiences while working in a home for mentally disabled (Reveries), while living in Guadalajara, Mexico (Pensamientos), and while enjoying the intimacy of her own family (Symphonies.)
The chapbook includes both previously published and new works. The title of the work comes from a line in the poem, entitled "The Collector."
